Hey all!

I'm just trying to find the right EDC and can't figure it out. So far I have carried

Blur: I love but just a bit too large in the pocket with keys and everything else.
Leek comp: too metro looking for me.
Twitch II: good size but wobbles too much.
Delica: seems too light and a bit ugly IMO.
Scallion: a bit too small..
Chive: way too small..

So I guess Im looking for something 2.5-3, that can be used quite a bit, that also has a combo blade and possibly an A/O but doesnt have to be..

Under $100 would be great.

Thanks in advance for suggestions!

Benchmade Mini-Griptillian OR Benchmade Mini-Barrage (which is below). There are many more options for the Grip and it is hugely popular, but I like the Barrage. Barrage is A/O and fast as lightening. On the picture, it is a cat hair, not a scratch. Well used, yet the coating is so durable you'd never know it.

But above all, the Ritter Mini-Grip would be my choice, and I think one is for sale on this site, with orange scales. Because the blade is better steel and stonewashed, and better profile.

I'll second the Mini Barrage.

Here's mine. The WARN version is on top (D2 tanto blade with G10 scales) Shown with a Leek for size reference since you are familiar with the Leek.

Or you might try Benchmades first flipper the 300SSN (the SSN is partially serrated, the SN is plain bladed)

Here's a pic from this forum.

The 300SN is the brown/ sand colored scales. The partially serrated version is harder to find but it's out there with more on the way.

Good luck either way.

You'll never find the "right one".

As soon as you own it, you'll be eyeballing the "next one".

Mini-Griptilian. The Ritter version of the Mini-Grip is a bit nicer (S30V steel, flat-ground wide drop point, stonewash finish). The Ritter does not have a combo-edge option though, and you'd have to look to the secondary market to get it under $100.

Skyline is another great EDC blade. It doesn't come with a combo-blade option either. It is relatively inexpensive (~$40 retail, sometimes a little less on the Exchange), so you might be able to find someone to add serrations if you really want them. Given that the Skyline is not an especially thick blade and has a high hollow grind, serrations may not be possible though.

The Mini-Barrage is also a nice knife, but it is somewhat bulky (thick handle) compared to the Mini-Griptilian. It is assisted-opening though and comes with a combo blade option.

Benchmade 707 would probably be my first choice, but for cost. I just searched and found it online for quite close to your price range, though, so I'll suggest it anyway.

BM mini grip does it for me. I really don't prefer the Ritter over the Pardue as most people do.

Appreciate the assistance here!

Is the Pardue a good design? I was thinking maybe the 556SBK

Thank yall again for your help!

Try the kershaw skyline. Kershawguy has blems for a great price on here and it's a great edc blade. Lightweight, solid lockup, decent blade steel, and reasonably priced what more could you want? Also it is right around the size range you seem to be interested in. I have this and the mini grip and prefer the skyline at a cheaper price.

Well, ended up with a Mini Grip

AND A

Skyline

And A

Native

Go figure.. Thanks yall! My wife probably won't be as happpy as me...
