So yesterday at work was insane. I mean insane! My brain was getting ready to explode!

During the day when I had a free second I was trying to find some info with my GoogleFoo about Busse blades but I couldn't find it. So I figured I'd give the shop a call on my way home. Best info is always from the source! It was kind of late when I called and I wasn't thinking about the time zone difference. Didn't really expect anyone to answer the phone.

One of the guys answered the phone (not sure who it was) but my question was kind of specific, so he told me to hold on and he'd get someone who knew more then him.

Then it happened - "Jerry Busse speaking, can I help you?"

Crazy, but I almost couldn't speak. I was star struck! :) Needless to say, we had a great conversation and he was super helpful! What a great guy!

Not every day you get to talk to the Hog Master himself. It made my day and I forgot all about how shitty my work day was.

Pretty cool in my book.

About 2 years ago when I was new and had a problem with my Busse and went about it the wrong way, I received a phone call from Jerry and yea I can relate, I almost felt like a kid doing something wrong and that was my punishment call. Needless to say, it was a great conversation and I'm still here lovin Busse blades more than ever. Best in the Biz if you ask me.

It is nice that you got to speak with Jerry directly but it doesn’t surprise me. Customer care and service from the boss on down has always be exceptional.

I never talked to Jerry. But, I had some questions about a old Busse knife I had picked up second hand, so I emailed him. I was very happy how he was so helpful. Excellent customer service.

Thats cool, i emailed with The Boss before, that was Pretty Bada$$ lol

Amazing how knowledgeable the Janitor is aye!!!!

"the Janitor" lol , I'll never forget several years back , I had called Busse a couple of times buying knives and actually talking to Garth about something from the custom shop . Anyway , I was calling back about that custom shop order to ask something but when the phone was answered it wasn't Pokey or Lexi . It was a man . He asked if he could help and I said something like "I'm not sure . It's about a knife , from the custom shop . I was hoping to talk to Garth" He says "Well I'll help you" . Now I was kind of new to Busse still , so I'm thinking to myself (will this guy know what I'm talking about ?) . So I say " Ok , and who am I talking to" . He says "Jerry................ the janitor" . I laughed right out loud and said "Shit , I didn't expect YOU to answer the phone !" . He had a good laugh and then we had a great conversation . Jerry is a great down to earth guy , AND he had the answer to my question LOL .

He once pour'ed me a large cup full of Johnny Blue and insisted I chug it. I did and Immediately threw it up. Fail.

Similar story, I had sent a knife in for some work. I'm lying on the couch and my phone rings. I answer it and a booming voice says "hello, Jerry Busse here." I shot straight like someone hit me with a cattle prod. It was after that conversation that I knew that I was a fan. Feels good when the Boss man gives you a call. :D:thumbup:

I've also had a conversation with that sketchy janitor. He always has the music up loud in the background.;)

I got to trade firearm related stuff with him for shop credit. He even made a suggestion on what I should get. Basic 4 and 10. Great gentleman to do business with.
