What an incredible gift.

A few weeks ago I realized that my 34OT that I had worn down and smoothed out the scales on, riding in my pocket for 15 years, had stainless blades. I also realized that my first slipjoint, a 80OT that I gave away for some reason, had carbon blades, and that in fact, the original 34OT ones had carbon blades too. So after a bit of whining on the forum and asking about how hard it would be to get one I received a mail. This guy was actually asking for my adress to send me one since he had more knives than he could use. I said I couldnt afford it right now but he insisted it was a gift, so I gave him the adress. I didn't think much about it and then, a few weeks later it arrived a small box from the U.S.A. My son and I were dumbstruck at first, then he ran down and showed them to my wife. Not only had he sent me an 34OT in perfect condition laying in a box wrapped in plastic. He also sent a larger size Schrade stockman, similiar to the 80OT, used but in fine condition. I do not know if I have ever been so surprised. I do know for sure that I have never been so happy to get a couple of knives in the mail. "Jeez, I cannot really use it, it is too good looking" I thought to myself. However , the generous guy told me I should. So now it accompanies my every day, wherever I go. I'm so scared i'll loose it, hence it goes down in my coin pocket.

The pictures are of the knives I got plus a picture which compares the color of the new and old one. The stamping on the two knives are different as it says NY USA on the old one. It has I tiny blad wobble but nothing significant on the clip blade. My son is a car mechanic and says I shouldn't worry about it. I checked my other Schrades and one of them has a small wobble on the clip as well

Regards and Holiday Greetings.

Nice knives. May i suggest trying some good American Vermont Cheddar. It could prove a live changing experience.

There is a lot of generosity on this forum.

Yes, I do think I will try some Vermont cheddar, sir. Someone just has to send it from the US, I don't think we have it in Sweden, it's scarce like Schrade knives. We have European cheese and mountains of Mora knives instead.

So very generous indeed. I'm still taken by the whole thing after a fortnight of rolling them between my fingers and opening, cutting and inspecting.

And send me the cheese was a joke, I actually think it is illegal too.
