What is the angle I should use for shapening the military? Someone told me that the reason for redoing the sharpmaker was because the angle used on the military.

I have been using the old Sharpmaker, that bevel gets it like a razor. I am looking forward to my 204!

Shootist - I would use the same 40 degree inclusive angle tht the old 203 has. The edge will get very sharp and hold up well.

I believe that 440V could hold the 30 degree well but not as long and it won't be as strong under hard use.

Sal: the 20-degree angle on the 204 (thanks, review coming!) looks a couple degrees steeper than the angle on my old 203. I was assuming the 203 was around 21-22 degrees. Are they both supposed to be 20-degrees? (and of course the 204 also has 15 degrees)

Joe - both are supposed to be 20 degree. The 203 is a 20 year old mold and I'm sure we lost a degree or two with age. (Happens to the best of us). Looking forward to your comments.
