What angle should I use to sharpen my mini-manix on my sharpmaker? It will be used for camping chores because I cant use fixed blades in scouts. It will also be used occasionally for edc purposes. Oh and if it makes a difference I like to use the UF rods for the sharpmaker.

Go thin its in. You will most likely spend some time re-adjusting the factory angle if you haven't already. Sence you are using a sharpmaker I would go with the 30deg. setting, it will also bring out the cutting power of the flat ground blade. The UF stones make a big difference but if you haven't used them much you may not see that yet.

I tried to regrind mine to 15 degrees on each side I believe. On a course DMT stone and I grinded for a while, and im still not there. It's a good thick blade.

Mine came from Spyderco ready to sharpen at 30 degrees incl. That's all I've ever used for my mini-M. I've used it in the woods for camping & hiking chores and it's held up very well at 30 degrees.

30 degrees. Use the UF rods, strop after if you've got one. I cannot believe how well this knife slices for a relatively thick blade.
