What angle to sharpen blade?

I just got my two new folders :) Rodney gave me a great price and i couldn't choose between the two. I got the M4 Spyderco Gayle Bradley and ZT 300.

Love them both but I noticed both aren't very sharp from factory. Nothing close to my JYD composite or Delica.

What angle should I sharpen the two at? I just ordered a wicked edge system but have a Lansky with diamond stones and sharpmaker available now.

I'm thinking 40 for the ZT300 and 30 for the Gayle.

What do you guys think??

Sounds just right, though I'd consider only using the Sharpmaker to maintain the edge at 40 deg, and wait until you get your Wicked Edge in.

That's what I'm thinking too. So any of you guys know the factory edge angles for each blade? I've read 40* is about standard.

Yep, I'd wait for the wicked edge.

My GB was at almost 30 degrees inclusive when I got it. The ZT 301 though was a bit over 40. I just rebeveled it on the edge pro at about 36 degrees inclusive so that I can touch it up easily on the sharpmaker at the 40 degree setting.
