As for myself -- precooking baby backs since 8:00 this a.m. (it's 10:00 now) for my barbeque blow out this afternoon. Otherwise it's all about watching the US Open and making sheathes -- Heaven on earth for a man with a six year old and an infant, both girls. My Dad will be over for ribs later.

How about you other Dads out there? And Happy Fathers Day to you!!

I will be traveling from the 118, to the 5 south to the 60 west about 69 miles to Hacienda Heights. I will visit my dad, brother, sister and enjoy the day with family. I will hit traffic at about 7th avenue on the 60 and second guess myself that I should have gotten off and taken Gale. My wife will remind me that I always say that, but do not do it. Next, I will crave an In and Out Burger but realize I will be eating Rib eye if I can just hold out. Life is great, God has given me more than enough. Happy Father's Day to all the knife nut dads out there.
Traveling mercies to all who are on the road today.

Spent the day making up a batch of Brunswick stew and prep'ing my gear for camping with the kids next weekend.

Received homemade gifts (the best kind) from my boys this morning, followed by church and Sunday school, lunch with Mrs. Powernoodle, boys and my parents. Afternoon trip to Home Depot and Lowes.

An interesting day.
- Church this morning.
- Doing laundry and sharpening up a new pocket knife this afternoon. (Along with playing here on the computer.)
- Transferring some new music onto my MP3 player in preparation for some surgery tomorrow. (Local anesthetic. Need something to keep me occupied.)
- My son is coming over and cooking a steak tonight.

Just got back from fishing all day with my sons. Some walleye and pike and we had a fish fry.

Got out of prison about thirty minutes ago...drove home, a little bummed that I wasn't able to spend the day with the fam'bly, but not stressing too much.

I was surprised to find my in-laws still at the house with the wife and kiddo. I figured they'd be on their way home, by now. Oh, well...life is full of surprises, ain't it?

Slept in, then took my daughter to a local historical museum. Next, a couple hours at the swimming pool. Affordable and fun.

My Dad passed away last fall... weird how each first holiday without him messes with my head. Been thinking about him all day. I'm very grateful for all he taught me; maybe one day I'll be as good a man as he was.

Sorry to be depressing, I didn't mean it that way. :o

Happy Father's Day, gentlemen! :)

Slept late, lunch at the Grandparents' house, watched a movie with the kids, pets the cats, dinner at IHOP. Good day.

Worked the graveyard shift, to bed for an hour, up for church, light lunch, bed, make dinner, bed, back to work...
