I am looking for the ideal small edc blade for utility and small game dressing. I would prefer a convex grind. Please advise. I have little to no experience with smaller bark river knives.

I have a BRKT Bravo Necker2 and it's a great sized fixed blade. It's got good steel, comes sharper than the dickens, and can handle small game from rabbits to squirrel and I'd guess white tail deer.

i will secound the necker to i love it 3v is the my favorite steel by far you cant go wrong with it can even get scales to go with it

Bark River Gunny. Or Gunny Hunter if you don't like the thumb ramp.
or call me, pm,or what.

Would be talking about squirrel, rabbit and dove sized game. I have a bark river bushcrafter in cpm3v for larger tasks.

Their Essential in M4 springs to mind, and their bird and trout.

The Necker 2 , mini-Fox River, and Essential are all excellent cutters in a smaller EDC size. Don't know how they'd be for skinners but they're great general purpose cutters. The Northstar EDC is good for a slightly longer and thinner blade.

Don't they have a Mini Canadian belt knife?

The mini fox river is a good small game knife, and the sheath can be carried strong side or there's an extra slot for canted crossdraw carry. It is short enough/small enough that it carries very well. Although it's a bit small on deer-sized game, I have used it on one muledeer buck, and it performed better than I expected on that size critter.

For me, the Bark River Nomad fits this description as a small game knife. I also like the Blackjack 124 (made by Bark River) for this purpose which would also work for bigger game. I like choils and the classic Randall look, so I'm very comfortable with these. Lots of good Bark River choices.

Another nod toward the Fox River. Gorgeous little knife, light and whippy in the hand and just glides through the work on small game. I've used it on goats and it's always performed up to expectation. Seen below with my Buck Vanguard and Becker BK-15 which I also rotate out when hunting.
