What are good robust XXL Gloves?

I'm looking for a pair of new gloves but cant identify the good ones at the current overloaded market.
I had owned unlined grey leather German Army gloves (not the winter version) for the last 17 years. Now all of them are developing holes and it's time to replace them.
It seems that single layer leather gloves work very well for me. Strong but still enough feeling and good grip.
Leather seems to adjust best to handshapes and movement without threads breaking or ripping through the material.

The more insulated and nylonish gloves are, the more they seem to break at their seems when doing pull-ups outdoors or even just gripping a bicycle handle. Even Kevlar reinforced gloves seem to have this problem ( for sure the cheaper ones)

In essence I need my new gloves to be more robust than warm. (both would be even better, if possible).
Cutting resistance and knuckle pads etc would be fine with me but only as long as they don't compromise strength.

Why don't I just buy the same gloves which I already like? I believe they don't make them anymore and any old stocks don't have my size (10-11 / XXL)

Thank you, for any real life insights, new thoughts regarding what I need and help with finding me a new pair of good gloves.
:)

The German gloves are wonderful (grey leather gloves with snap on the inside wrist?).
I bought a whole bundle of them from a surplus store and have used them for many years.
I have one pair of gloves left as well.

Non-leather gloves have come a long way though.
I use Mechanix gloves, which are affordable and strong.

As for gloves a level over that, I use Blackhawk and Oakley gloves. Both very sturdy and of good quality. The Blackhawk gloves can be a bother to take on anf off frequently, as they have lots of velcro. The Oakley ones doesnt.

All depends on what you use them for.

Cabelas Bison skin gloves. I had 2xl and left on top of the fuel pump at a Truckstop! They are tuff as nails, and not in the least bit "tacti-cool". A real work horse that last a long time(the last pair I had lasted over 4+ years) hope this helps.

Are there any gloves out there that are good for a guy with big hands but short fingers? I think they call them "cadet" style for golf gloves.

Awesome guys thanks for your help. Will let you know what I'll go with after some more research. Thank you for all the pointers.
