What are some good sub 2 inch folders?

The college I go to restricts pocket knife carry on campus to blades of 2 inches or less. I've shopped around for a while but still haven't been able to find something that I like enough to buy when I'll probably only carry it when I'm on or going to/from campus (I commute). What are some of the best knives you've seen or owned with a blade of 2 inches or less? I would prefer something with a pocket clip and a locking blade but that doesn't mean I would rule something out that doesn't fit that description. Also, there's no way I'm carrying something on campus with an even remotely menacing looking blade no matter how small it is.

Spyderco Equilibrium, loved that knife. Unfortunately I sold it to a coworker a year or so ago, I asked him the other day if he still had it, he said he loves it and will have it forever...

Edit: Balance, my bad. The equilibrium would be good too, also check out Cold Steel's "tuff."

The balance is a little high for no more than I would be using it. Don't think I like it enough to drop $80 on it but it's a good recommendation. I have been seriously considering a Cold Steel Mini Tuff Lite, it's the best I've found so far for this purpose.

Just found a pretty good knife for my needs: the Spyderco Chicago, sells for about $40, 2 inch blade, 440C steel, G10 scales I believe. Pocket clip and back lock. Description says it was named after Chicago's city wide 2 inch carry limit, which is ridiculous btw. Designed specifically for carry in highly regulated areas, much like the Spyderco UK pen knife series.

Spyderco manbug ZDP (also available in other steels/handle options), the ladybug (highly recommend the LB salt hawkbill) or the rarer Jester.

Kershaw Chive

Boker plus nano

I really like that kershaw chive, I'll have to see what it's like in person next time I get the chance. Only knock I have on the manbug/ladybug is no pocket clip. I would have to see those in person before buying.

The Cold Steel Mini Tuff Lite is a superior knife for just about everything but appearance. I highly recommend it to you.

Pros:

- Finger choil gives a comfortable grip for a tiny knife
- Tri-ad lock is rock solid
- Cuts like a champ
- It's cheap (~$20 - $25)

Cons:

- Looks like a Cold Steel product (black and plasticky)

Here's a shot of one of my Mini Tuffs next to one of my Southards for size comparison:

Technically the Chicago limit is actually 2.5" for adults, but yes, it is ridiculous.

Though CPD has much better things to do than check the lengths of knives of people who are not causing any trouble are carrying.

That said, as has already been mentioned, a Vic Classic or Case Peanut would be an excellent choice.

No arguments from me, I've mostly carried over the limit for years without a problem. Then again, so has everyone who carries a multitool . . .

Also, I like the Peanut and SAK knives people have suggested but they don't lock, which was one of OP's requirements.

So have I. I would imagine its pretty much the same anywhere....If you are not acting like a knucklehead, LEOs don't care about the folder in your pocket. And, if your some reason they do, and it happens to be a SAK or Leatherman...they probably still wont care.

If its a Dark Death Tac Master XTreme Cold Spec Ops Stabinator with skulls all over it...they will care.

Too true. That said, though, there are a lot of rotten cops and all it takes is one of them looking for an excuse to screw you over and then you'll have a bad day. The CPD has a long and storied history of blatant disrespect for the rights of ordinary citizens, up to and including literally getting away with murder from time to time.

The knife that always jumps to mind for me, in the silliest name ever category is the Microtech Death On Contact - Killswitch. LOL, love to see someone explaining in court how their death on contact killswitch is just a useful tool, not a deadly weapon.
