What are some of the best wharncliffe or hawkbill folders?

Ones I'm interested in are around 3.5" blade and weigh no more than 4.5oz. I don't want any FRN handles. Do you have any recommendations? Production models are preferred but cheaper customs are ok too. THANKS!

What blade shape is an Emerson P-SARK?

Ehh...many of the wharncliffe or hawkbill folders have FRN handles. For hawkbills, Spyderco has the Superhawk, discontinued, but you can probably find one. Case makes a hawkbill pruner...Blackhawk had the Garra 2, or the previous Ti handled one.

Wharncliffes....Case has several models, various trappers and such that have a wharncliffe blade. Seahorse whittler, swayback jack, possibly a copperlock. Spyderco makes the Yojimbo 2. Also, the Scagel Fruitport knife from Knivesshipfree.

Good luck!

AG Russell, aside from being one of the standards of the knife industry for decades, is also a Dealer Member here. So I can post this link:

Thanks for all the recommendations. Three knives I have in mind now are the Yojimbo 2(blade is a bit too small), Emerson P-SARK, and Superhawk. Keep them coming! :)

Great Eastern Cutlery makes a couple real nice folders with the wharncliffe/sheepsfoot blade. Probably not over 3" however.

I sometimes carry a SOG Access Card 2.0 which has the sheepsfoot blade design. I like this little knife as it is very thin if I choose to carry it. The blade probably isn't long enough for you? My little neck knife made by Condor has a wharncliffe blade on it. I find the blade shape to be very useful for normal kinds of cutting. I am not a hawkbill fan.

GEC's #72 Wharncliffe lockback with various natural scales (this one's ebony) offers a refreshing change of pace from the usual black plastic slabs. Nice thin blade, too.

The Al Mar Backup Hawkbill looks nice. 4" blade though. I have a couple of their knives and the fit and finish is excellent. Mine are VG-10 and most of their folders, including this Backup model is AUS-8 and we all know from reading BF that anything made with AUS-8 will be dull, fall apart quickly, not hold an edge, and pretty much jump out of the knife and stab the owner in the eye. All sarcasm aside, I would trust the heat treat and quality on any of their blades. They are pricey though.

Case is a nice choice for both wharncliffes and pruners. Opinel makes a nice inexpensive hawkbill or three, too, but you're probably not looking at those.

Case makes a big hawkbill, too. Saw it from SMKW, if you're into the traditional patterns.

My choice, price aside (sigh) would be Peter R's take on the Swayback.

CRKT Edgie; wharncliffe pattern.

Emerson has a good reputation, and a couple of hawkbill knives. They may be on the small side, and the "tactical black" look may unnerve some of your associates.

I have a Kershaw Needs Work. Bent the tip, but I was using it pretty hard. Should be okay for EDC...

I have a Spyderco Centefonte 4. Nice warncliff blade, lightweight, thin blade and a nice knife. I don't use mine at all, I should tho.

How 'bout a Kershaw Needs Work G-10? Inexpensive, great value...Though the blade may be a bit under sized for you.
I'm wait'n on the Yojimbo 2 for myself.

If you don't mind a bit of belly in your wharncliff then CRK makes an Insingo model that's quite nice.
