What are the 2 humps on the spine of Hell Razor for?

My guess is weight distribution and a cool, distinctive profile. What more could you ask for, huh? :D

swedges are usually used as another thumb position for fine work, etc.

but of course, they look cool. :D

the humps are really a biproduct of the swedge, which is the depression between the two humps. so to speak.

but hey, i think just about everyone appreciates a... nevermind, that's just bad.

Hi guys, Anyone knows what its for? The same humps also featured on Tank Buster. Thanks in advance:confused:
word is that the two humps were put there in remeberance of all the camels killed in the WoT. god (or allah) rest their humps:(

Lumps are there for feeling the spine of the blade in the dark. Kinda gives you a reference point. Kinda like the lovely lady lumps in the dark:thumbup:

my understanding is that swedge is a false edge, normally near the tip of the knife.

i have seen jerry refer to a humped back like that as a "swag back" on the boards (a long time ago).

i would assume that besides being nice to look at, they act as a resting spot for your palm, when push cutting, when draw cutting, when holding the spine of the knife etc.

BAD Cobalt BAD!!!! :D

No INFI for you!

There are a couple of possible reasons for the humps that occur to me:

1. The continuously curved design of the spine is engineered to take
advantage of the compressive strength characteristics of INFI, thus
increasing even more the resistance to shear forces generated in the
chopping process. The carefully calculated curves also have a vibration
dampening effect, so that there is less shock transmitted to the user's
hand.

2. It just looks cool.:D

sometimes my friends dog will give my leg a double hump before i have a chance to kick him away:grumpy:

If they use a Hell Razor first then the Hump is easier to see, way more HUMPY:thumbup:

ohhhh, so now i'm in trouble.... well if you ask me it all boils down to darkhog, he's the real trouble maker around here. also he doesn't have infi anymore so we should report him to the high councel of hogs and strip him of his cloven hoof badge!
