I'm just curious... I'm guessing the Endura or Delica is #1 and #2? Can anybody list the top 5 best selling models? Thanks.

Off the top of my head, I would guess:
Delica
Endura
Native
Military
Manix

In that order.
Looks like a pretty good guess. Companies don't usually release this info so all we can do is guess. With the Native for sale at Wally World, there is a chance for it to jump to #1. But since it is only sold at about a third of the stores and considering that there is never anyone at the knife counter or if there is someone there they are entirely clueless, that doesn't seem likely. :D

I wonder if some of the Salts or some of the little keyring knives like the Jester, Ladybug or Cricket sell better than the Military or the Manix? How can we forget the Police. I almost always see that one offered when a dealer is selling Spyderco.

I seriously doubt if both the military and manix would make the top five. Typically, best sellers are highly price driven. With the street prices for both being >$80, I doubt if they sell more Military's or Manix's than Kiwi's, Dragonfly's, Cricket's, Jester's or Ladybug's.

Perhaps some retailer would help us out by telling us what their best selling Spyderco's are...

I would bet the farm that they are all FRN models.

I would agree that is probably the truth. The general knife buying public will probably tend to purchase the less expensive models with handles made from FRN. Generally speaking, the forumites here will lean more towards the expensive models that have G-10 or titanium handles. I don't think we're probably that representative of the general public. But maybe I'm wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if there's ten FRN Delicas sold for every Manix.

think so too, most casual knife buyers buy the cheapest, and that'd be the FRN's. i don't think the Manix would make the top5 though, it's relatively new model and more likely to be bought by spyderholics than the general knifebuyers

i think this would be the top5:

1 Delica FRN
2 Endura FRN
3 Native FRN
4 Police SS
5 Military

or something in that order.....

A bit of threadjacking here, but what's so bad with FRN? And the Spyderco FRNs seems to be much lighter than the G10s and metalhandles.

I think e-bay is a good indicator of popularity (of the moment). So this is results
of the moment

Total Spydercos 501
Endura 46
Delica 44 (one ZDP)
Native 26
Military 24 (9 of them are CF, not sure should I count or not, but at this moment they are presented)
Police 14
All Salts 16
Sharpmaker 12
Civilian 8
Manix 6 (one full size and 5 mini)

nothing really 'bad' about FRN, apart from the cheapish plastic look and the fact that FRN-scales are quite flexible which causes FRN-handled knives to develop blade-play, both vert. and horiz., way sooner than, say steel, titanium, or G10. personally i don't like FRN, but that's a matter of taste i guess.

the real reason why most are FRN's is because FRN-handled spydies are the cheapest. most casual knife-buyers consider a G10 Military or an SS Police way too expensive......; "what?! that much money for just a knife???!!"............and so, they end buying the $30 FRN Delica :D

Ah, thanks for the explanation. I'm not that hot on FRN anymore, even though it lighter, if they develop bladplay.

That is a home run answer right there. ;)
