I am curious as to the dimensions of the talon. Also thickness of the handles. I am interested in one as an everyday carry knife, if it isn't too big. If it is too big, I will still have to get one for those special occasions.

Hi Dennis - I have not exactly measured a Talon, but since it is a repro of the 3.5" blade Cetan I can answer you based on the custom that I have. The handle is about 4 inches long, and the contured handle is about 1/2" thick. Blade stock thickness is 1/8". Even at this size, it makes a great daily carry fixed blade. It's very low profile, and to those untrained about sharp things will mistake it for a kitchen knife! From what I have heard, the Kydex carry rig for the Talon will be similar in nature to the rig for the CQB-1. The Tek-Lok fastnener permits the Talon to be worn in multiple configurations like cross draw, behind the back, or the more traditional vertical carry. Hope this helps!

Thank you Dexter. How concealable do you think it would be?

Dennis - if IWB carry was an option for the Talon, it would be very concealable. Heck, when I wear my CQB-1, it's always IWB and when you put on a sweatshirt or another baggy shirt, the knife just disappears. But given the carry methods I described above for the Talon, the knife's size shouldn't cause anyone to raise any eyebrows. I have not seen the Talon's rig yet, but there could be a possibility that you can obtain an IWB loop and Chicago screw to make your own IWB carry for it.

I am glad I am on the list. I am sure these will go quickly. Any idea about when they will be in?

Hey Dennis, order a set of the pull-the-dot loops from Blade-Tech. One of those attached to the sheath make a GREAT IWB carry method. I use them on all my sheaths: Nimravus, Cetan, Master Series Vanguard. Try it, you'll like it. For $7.95, you can get a set of two loops. You only need one, so you'll have a back-up.
