As a maker the season plays out like this-
Jan- Most people are broke after Christmas so sales slow down.
Feb- People are still broke and looking forward to possibly getting a tax return.
Mar-April- Those whom get tax returns either spend the money on knives of pay their CC bills from Christmas. Others have to pay taxes and remain broke.
May-June- People realize the Blade show is a month away and post knives for sale on the forums so they have spending cash for new knives at the blade show.
July-Sept- People whom did not go to the Blade show and received a tax return they did not spend, buy from dealers who just came back from the blade show. Or they take their families on vacation.
Sept-Kids going back to school have parents broke again from buying school supplies, books, ect.
Oct- Nov- Buying picks up before Christmas shopping begins.
Dec- It's a mixed bag. Some buy knives for themselves or as gifts, others buy Christmas presents and hope that someone else buys them a knife.
It's all a vicious circle.
