What are these fasteners called ?

I'm trying to find some fasteners like these , but I don't know what they are called .
It makes your search difficult when you don't know the name of the thing your looking for
Also how are they attached ?
Do you need a special punch or something ?

That is a Sam Browne stud. You can find them at Tandy in a few different sizes.

Some are screw back, some are rivet back.

You will need a leather punch of the same size as the rivet or screw. Tandy has a dedicated anvil that makes the rivet back studs an easy installation.

With your help I think I may have tracked down a supplier here in Australia .
I don't know whats its like over there , but everything here shuts up shop for quite awhile over Christmas , so I'll just have to cool my heels for a week or two , and wait for things to open again .
