What are these screws/nuts called?

I found those as well but they are a little high. I am looking for a comercial solution. I have seen these on other items then kydex but I have no idea what they are called. I think that I might be able to get them from MSC or from McMaster Carr but I have no idea what to look for. :)

Arent they called chicago screws?
You mean the black screws that screw into a female post?

Texasknife has em and I get em in bags.

The chicago screws have the 7/16" head. I am looking for the small aluminum threaded parts for the lack of a better term!

I think what you are looking for is called barrel nuts. Try looking in an office supply in the section where the report binders are found. They have them and the mating screws in varying lengths for different thickness manuals.

If you are looking for the female side, its called a binding post. And the male side of the same peice of hardware is called a binding post screw...

MSC has them in aluminum, black annodized aluminum, and brass. In quantities of 100. A lot cheaper than lowes, home depot ect...

If you need part numbers just let me know...
