Two cans, you know what they are from and what I am attempting to show?

Dobbs, you stay out of this! :D

Yeah, for the record, the H.E.S.T. ate them both up, went into the metal like a needle into a tennis ball and then cut it like a hot knife through butter. Any other sad analogies would be greatly appreciated. ( :D )

No point or blade damage, scuffed the finish but I'm not as concerned about using knives looking like using knives. As a matter of fact, the scuff would probably wash off. :)

You are about to tie a string between the two cans and make an intercom system. :D

I'm going to guess your improvising signal mirrors out of cans of something I wouldn't eat except under extreme duress.

Its SMEET, and thats what happens when you loose your SMEET key. :D Moose

Old military ration cans I'm guessing, I have never seen them. Looks like the start of some sort of cook stand

I think they are called tinder cans. I think you load them with tinder pull a bit of it up through the X and light it from there. That is my SWAG.

A couple/few wiseacres! :D

A couple/few ideas I might have to try out, too!

It's a form of animal trap, leg holding. I have not tried them out yet because, well, they would be illegal in most places and I couldn't do it here anyway for fear of injuring someone's dog or cat.

Animal steps in X you have carefully camouflaged and they cannot get their leg back up through it. You drive a stake in the ground, punch a hole in the side and that's your securement/drag.

Those cans are a lot bigger than sardine cans and they are sort of flimsy after I made them, sardine cans would probably do much better.

They were French Military Rations...and they were excellent, by the way. :D
