Ran across these two 110's online. I can make about something about a "black bear" on the COA for the bottom knife but can't really tell what the top one is?

Can anyone provide any info on either such as when they were made, value and what the top one is depicting? TIA

i cant either ,,
and i would like to know more on these my self
but dang picts are real bad but
good enugh to show that
the brass on bothof them needs a LOT of work !!
like -man do these ever need to go in to the spa for treatment on that brass

Yeah, the brass could use some TLC for sure. I've googled the "black bear" but haven't found anything. The photo is of an auction site for estates sales and is all I have at the moment. May try and contact the auction house and see if they can provide additional photos or description.

I zoomed in and it looks as if it is a mirror image. If you look at the word placement, it appears to say the same thing. It also looks like they are both #65, although the top one may be #85. The other thing is the dimple on the bolster on the bottom one.

These knives were made for Blue Ridge Knives in 1987. The red one is the Buck Red Fox and the Black one is the Buck Black Bear. One hundred and fifty of each were made. Hope that helps.

The Buck Red Fox and the Buck Black Bear are included in a list of "hardest to find" in the November 1988 Newsletter, page 1. No values were given in that Newsletter, just the production number of 150 as Richard Matheny said.

Yeah, I can see the ears on that fox.

I was wondering what those two points were.

Sweet. thank you.

Would any of you gents care to offer an opinion as to an estimated value for one or both?

Yes Richard has the price right at about $150. I have been looking for the Black Bear 110 for some time and would go as high as $175.

Here is a good photo of the Red Fox 110

Thank you jb. That's a nice one. Think I'm gonna try and pick these two up.
