How is Metro 2033? I've been looking for a copy of it.

I'm enjoying it a lot. It's translated from Russian, and sometimes the choice of words is a little strange, but I've come to expect that. Having previously read Roadside Picnic (also Russian) and the English versions of some of the Witcher novels (Polish) it seems that there are certain ways of speaking/writing that are just hard to properly convey in English.

I'm a big fan of the STALKER PC games (loosely inspired by Roadside Picnic) and have found a number of references to elements from the games in Metro 2033, which has since had a game based on it. I will eventually have to pick up the sequel, Metro 2034.

I currently have Roadside Picnic waiting for me to read on my Kindle. I've got a lot of books to read this year haha. I guess I should probably read that before Metro 2033.

I've been having fun working my way through the James Patterson Alex Cross novels in chronological order. Very well written who-done-it's.

I like to do that with good authors. Bernard Cornwell is another I like. Great combination of accurate historical background and character development.
