I told her that I would eventually buy her a Rolex SS Oyster Date Perpetual. After posting on another forum that my Dalton Asp would be my last knife for 6 months... in order to save up for the watch, I got a PM from a guy who was selling his wife's watch to upgrade to the mid size. I sent the money yesterday. I got it for $2200. Better yet, it has a blue MOP dial with diamond hours and a diamond bezel. Needless to say, my Discover card will cry itself to sleep for a couple months, but this was a deal I couldn't pass up.

I figure this trumps chocolate and flowers. The wife is an accountant (and a damn good one), so her clients will have more confidence when they see she's wearing a Rolex.

no idea haha, my missus isnt too into jewellry anymore (bought her tonnes of that)...chocolate and candy not so much, and flowers she isnt into (she'd rather leave em on the plant).

Maybe get a pot and bulb of her favourite lily if i cant find an established plant.

ps. that rolex is really nice!!!

Flowers, chocolates, bubblie, my undying devotion. Oh yeah, and a card.

Oh God... it's beautiful.

We're both pretty busy on Valentine's Day, so yesterday, I got all dressed up, complete with suspenders, pocket watch, and handkerchief and tie, and went over to her workplace to deliver a bunch of tulips and Ferrero Rocher. Though she might not admit to enjoying the classic, predictable, and somewhat mundane practice of flowers and chocolate, I'm sure she secretly loved it.

My girl wouldnt leave my Ritter Mini Grip alone so I went and got her a regular Mini Grip, black on black with a drop point blade. I'll be damned if I don't think her's looks better...

My wife carries these, not at the same time.

Hi Charlie Mike -

Nice gift! She will love it!

I got my wife the usual thing that I have been doing for 19 years or so - a chocolate box filled with fresh-roasted cashews from our local place called the Nut House - they do all the roasting there. I get these for all my gals every Valentines Day and they love them.

This year I also got my wife and daughter some M&M's custom printed with my granddaughters picture on them - they are too cool!

My wife got $4000 worth of diamond earrings for Christmas, so that should be the jewelry for the year. I bought her a Tag Heuer Diamond link with MOP face for our anniversary two years ago.

thanks for the pic and save your energy - you are going to need it!

best regards -

I just ordered last night(talk about last minute!) 2 dozen roses, candy, bath spa set...etc.

That's a helluva gift CM!!:thumbup::eek:

I'm fortunate that my wife has a hobby/obsession that I can give her as a no-brainer gift, that she'll love no matter what. Google LUSH soaps. They're littered everywhere around our house. They are actually really high quality though, and some smell very good and 'unisex'. They have a very nice massage bar that I would guarantee any girl would like.

My wife works for Lush, we have that stuff all over the bathroom too.

Dude, you are spoiling her too much....if you keep this up, her expectations will eventually rise to the point where even a four carat diamond tennis bracelet won't get you a handjob.

It may seem like I'm spoiling her but she isn't spoiled. This the first and last watch she'll ever wear. OTOH, she is giving me her 4 door Saturn when I start school. I was joking when I made the "all but had to" statement. She actually is paying for more than half of it. Over the next couple months I'll be paying her "back".

.45, I know you're looking out for me here.... Thank you. But she's not a gold digger. Strange enough, she'd never wear gold or big diamonds, she thinks it's tacky. She's like me ... Steel or silver.
