What are you looking for at the SOS

I guess a lot of you guys are getting plans and funds together for the SOS show this month. As I have a snowballs chance of getting there and no orders imminent, I must resort to vicarious knife collecting through those of you who will attend the show. So tell me, what are you hoping to pick up? What makers are top of your list, or do you go open minded, just ready to enjoy the whole experience and whatever it brings?

Stephen

Well Stephen, it will no doubt come as a huge surprise that I am looking to pick up a bowie or three. :D There are going to be several makers there that make "my" kind of knife very well indeed, including, in no particular order, Ron Newton, Mike Williams, Jerry Fisk, Brett Gatlin, Reggie Barker, John Fitch, Harvey Dean and many others. I can't wait!

Roger

PS - if anybody has a list of makers who will be attending, please let me know.

I emailed Bruce a week ago about the list and he said that he hadn't compiled it yet. I'm thinking that with just two weeks to go maybe we won't be seeing one.

Jack

Jerome Anders will have a Coffin handle bowie ready for me at the show, besides that it's whoevers table I get to first, maybe Mr. Fitch? I have been waiting to see alist also, but??

A few more names to add to makers attending the show: Warren Osborne, Tommy Oryender, Johnny Stout, Bill Ruple.

Cheers,

Roger

Folks, here's the list of SOS table holders as of about three weeks ago, I hope to have the rest up on my website www.jbrucevoyles.com sometime tomorrow.

Sorry about the delays, but to quote William Cassidy in "Knife Digest 2" c. 1970's, when stating why the second edition was late: "We just took to fooling around."

See you'all in Grapevine...
