I enjoy getting recommendations from others on this board so let's discuss some good reading material.
I'm currently reading or have recently read the following and would highly recommend.

The Tipping Point- Malcolm Gladwell
Blink - Malcolm Gladwell ( getting ready to read this next )
On Killing- Lt. Col. Dave Grossman
Season of Harvest - Michael Hicks ( currently free on Kindle)
Bitter Harvest -Michael Hicks
Reaping the Harvest - Michael Hicks
The Remaining- DJ Molles
The Remaining: Aftermath-DJ Molles
The Remaining: Refugees- DJ Molles
The Remaining: Fractured- DJ Molles
The Gift of Fear- Gavin de Becker ( I don't agree with his politics but there is definitely some good info in this book)

And I think you should always be reading the Bible and/or a devotional. Ronald Reagan said he reads the Bible and the newspaper everyday so he knows what each side is doing ;). ( I don't know if that is his original comment as I thought Zig Ziar said it. )
So what are you reading ?

Think and grow rich, Napoleon hill, original unabridged edition.

The Silo Saga (Wool Omnibus, Shift Omnibus and Dust Omnibus) by Hugh Howey. Currently reading the Shift portion.
The Mogoliad Cycle by Greg Bear, Neal Stephenson, Mark Teppo, Erik Bear, Joseph Brassey, Cooper Moo, Nicole Galland, Mike Grell. Curerently on book 2.
I also include the Bible (currently the NKJV) in my regular reading.

currently reading The Vampire Armand by Anne Rice, Body Parts by Vicki Stilefel, and Rituals for the Solitary Wiccan by Ravenwolf.

One of the only vampire series I like is Anne Rice's. I met her at a book signing in Chicago. Very cool lady.

I tend to only read non-fiction books about nutrition, biochemistry, and other lame science stuff. Currently I'm reading The Omnivore's Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals, by Michael Pollan. Besides that, just books I have to study for school! Should you still be interested, the titles include:

-Plants and Society
-Basic Animal Nutrition and Feeding
-Vertebrates, Comparative Anatomy, Function, Evolution
-Basic Pathology

To quote the great Ron Borgundy, "It's boring, but it's part of my life."

Last five.
Eric Schlosser: Command & Control
Margaret Atwood: Oryx & Crake; The Year of the Flood; Maddaddam
Charles Stross: Neptune's Brood
Pete

I just finished:
The Art of Being Unmistakeable by Srinivas Rao

Just started
David and Goliath: Underdogs, Misfits, and the Art of Battling Giants by Malcolm Gladwell

Last edited:

These are all for classes I'm taking though. I don't have time to read for pleasure any more :(
