This bad boy came really sharp and feels great in my hand. So, what are the rest of you watinng for? Pick one of these up, you won't regret it. I sure know what is going camping with me next weekend.:D

Welcome spacelf.:) Looks like a good price to me.

Not only is the REVOLVER a cool design, it is also very usefull. I believe that it will work very well as a "camp knife" and also as a "survival knife". Your pack will be lighter because now you have a fixed blade knife and saw in the same package. Do to the REVOLVERs nice hollow grinds, it works great as a kitchen knife. You should see it slice through veggies and tomatoes. By the way, my left arm has bare patches, it's that sharp out of the box.:D

Thanks Wildmanh for the reply. The local knife shops around here still don't have the SOG Seal Revolver Knife. So all I knew was that most web shops want $58-$75 so I figured $55 off ebay was ok. I did not know of any discount or wholesale websites to go to. So Wildmanh this knife really cuts hair.:D Cool!!! This will be my first camping/survival knife.

I was mostly into pocket tools. I have 2 Victorinox Swiss Champs, a Wenger Tool Chest Plus, a Wenger Tradesman, a Vice-Grip Toolbox, a Leatherman PST, a Leatherman WAVE, a Leatherman Micra, and a Leatherman Juice XE6. (So as you can see I like knives that are multifunctional.) :D

My friends where telling me I needed to get a real knife like a Puma leather scout or sog's S2 Trident when I saw the Revolver Knife off of sog's website. I went with revolver because I figured I would use it more and because It was a lot cheaper then the other two.

spacelf, the REVOLVER should serve you well in those roles. I'm having trouble desiding if I should use my Field Pup as "General camp" knife or if my new REVOLVER will get that role. who knows, both might.:D

For a retail REVOLVER, you did good. Mine was a Seconds from SOGs site and it was about that price.

Please let us know how you like it when you are able to put it to some use. I bet you will like it even more. I know I do.;) Not only does it shave and saw, but it also works good cutting leather. I used it to trim the leather on it's new Leather sheath I made last night (Don't worry Bobby I'm taking pics and going to have them developed soon;)).

The SOG Trident is a sweet knife. Though I do think you would be better served with the REVOLVER you have coming, do to it's multi purpose camp oriented design.

Am pairing my SOG REVOLVER with an Himalayan Imports 16.5" WWII Model Khukuri. Now, that's a REAL Knife!:D Check em out, HI they have a forum here.

Hey Wildmanh the law must be nice in UT. :D  :p  :grumpy:

Here in Texas I can only carry a knife with 4 1/2 inch blade around town, and a blade around 6 inches to and from a fishing or hunting trip.:grumpy:

So do you just use the those large blades around the house (saw the tomato cutting and the wood chopping), or do the police just back off when they see you coming.:D

Knife laws in Utah are pretty nice. From what I've been able to find, there is no blade limit to folders, or for unconcealed fixed blades. I play it safe. Only wearing my HI's in the back yard or out side of town, so the cops have never had a problem with me.

Do you have your REVOLVER yet and have you used it? I think the 16.5" WWII and REVOLVER combo is great. You'll have to let us know how you like it. I know I like mine.

For heavy chopping my Hi 18" AK fits the bill, Field Knife (or Pup) can handle the lighter ones...:D

Sorry for not posting sooner but I have been tring out my new knife.

It's a very nice blade and Wildmanh I now have bare patches on my arms as well. :D It looks like sog is not listing the knifes full featurers. with the seal revolver you do not just get a knife and a saw you also get a straight razor at no additional cost.:D

For me this is a knife that really fits the bill. The only other survival knife that I would want may be the one off of Hot Shots! Part Deux, (You know the one with a built-in chainsaw, wire cutters, and straw) :D tee hee tee hee

Ill see if I can post some pics and oh ya here is another revolver on ebay for anyone who is interested.

Very true, but when you need to make smooth clean cuts nothing does it better than a saw.;) And you can never have to many knives.:D

Lol, I'm glad you like it. What other kinds of tests have you done with yours? I've used mine in the kitchen and as a saw in the back yard. Works good for both.
