A 5160 ulu with a mustard stain finish. Still need to sharpen, put on my logo and make a leather edge protector. Maybe I can squeeze it in after church and before the Ball Game today.

Nice looking stuff there gents. Mr Drew, the way the steel looks on yours, is that the mustard stain?
Thanks

Finished this up for the wife yesterday...

Now I'm headed out to forge a couple of little 52100 blades for rabbet tang utility knives.

By the way, good work guys. Nice EVERYTHING there Kentucky, I like that Fisher it's all sitting on, too.

You guys don't want to see pics of a bar of 5160 but I'm today going to try to turn it into a huge chopper! :D ...11" long, 2" wide at tip, chisel grind all the way to the 1/4" spine, convex tip.

The things that have filled this weekend (and last weekend, and the weekend before etc)

That would be the mustard. It works much better on the 10 series steels, too much chromium in the 5160 to get a real dramatic stain.

Well I am working on getting off my butt and into the shop:D

I have 3 knives on the go right now, a 12"OAL full tang bowie, a full flat ground bushy, and a light hunter. I also have a rehandling job, but that one gets worked on while the other 3 are out for HT. No pictures right now, maybe tomorrow evening I will have some.
