So...The last 20 years, eh?
Tom Russell continues to put out great material.. His latest, Blood And Candle Smoke, is excellent.
Likewise James McMurtry, his "The Kids are Allright" album won many singer/songwriter awards.
I just recently got turned on to Ray Wiley Hubbard...His Snake Farm is very clever.

Sam Bush continues to put out excellent "newgrass"; Laps In Seven is very good.

A young artist we admire is Brandi Carlile; her album The Story has great songs and fine vocal performances.

Just for a few....

My current favourite album is soundtrack. Fairy Tail soundtrack vol 1 by Yasuharu Takanashi. Who could have imagine japanese composer could make album where Nightwish (older) meets Irish rock?

Artists and albums after Elvis, dang that's hard.

Sorry, can't really think of any. That Kid Rock tune that he ripped off from Warren Zevon is OK, I guess--I have no idea how long he has been around, though.
