I thought I would do a simple thread like this to perhaps give an idea as to which Busse's are getting "used" the most .... good info for Jerry and also helps when "asking" for another run of a given knife .... as the models being used will eventually maybe need a replacement .... I guess it is down to how hard you are on the edges .....

So which ones do you find you gravitate to ?

I have to say after weeks ( probably months and even "years" now with some models ) of doing a fair old bit of chopping and preparing wood .... the "kit" I most regularly have in a rucksack for going out to do some work when not deliberately taking other knives for a "comparison" .... is my NMFBM, my Basic 11 and my BWM LE .... probably in that order ....

You have to hand it to Jerry with the NMFBM .... it is a hell of a great outdoor knife .... I think if I had to only pick one Busse this would be it .... it just does everything on a camp knife/chopper role that little bit easier/better than all the other models.... a classic knife ....:cool:

There are a few great ones on the table here but the NMFBM would be my first choice ....

The Fat Fusion Battle Mistress is...and always will be my favorite Busse knife. I have had NMFBMs, SHBMs, BM-Es, Bushwackers, and cgFBMs, and I have parted with almost all of them. However, there will always be a FFBM in my pack and in my collection.

My favorite large user is my NMFBM and my favorite small user is my Boss Street.

Well since I no longer have the access to woods like I once did and most of the local places you can camp won't let you have your own fire, my most carried/used Busse is a Heavy Duty.

Used to be a NO-E or a SH-E depending on what I was doing.

My selection is quite limited compared to most of you... I really enjoyed using my SAR8, but between the big dangler sheath rig and the middle-ground size of the knife, it was a little more belt weight than I like and wasn't quite big enough to be strapped to my pack.

So I replaced it with a KZII. I had fun chopping with it this weekend, but it's in the process of getting modified right now so I wont get to really abUSE it for a couple more weeks at least.

So... my most used Busse is my BAD. And it's a peach! I've deliberately dug into some seasoned wood trying to see if I could do anything to the edge without leaving a mark. It's really f'n sharp and it is holding the edge perfectly. I just wish it didn't have an unusable choil!

For years, it has been the Dog Father LE, but the BWM and another brand of similar style chopper have been seeing a lot of use lately.

B9, but the B11 is trying to take it's spot as my go-to chopper

I just think it's not too big to carry and chops better than any other 8 inch blade I've used while still useful at most finer tasks.

If I'm going light weight the Skinny ASH gets the call. Sorry, no glamor shots!
