What are your thoughts on the Kershaw Blur?

Mine folds up with light wack on the spine, lock seems a bit weak. It gets sharp quickly. It's a beater in my collection.
 
as far as quality goes-kershaw is top notch -

if your worried about edge holding -take a look at the sg-2 blur,its a laminated blade -you can buy a sg2 online for that much
 
What other knives should i keep an eye out for? They sell victorinox, Kershaw, Buck, Spyderco, Benchmade, Wenger and CRKT that i can think of off hand. My limit is $93.99 because with tax that would bring me 34 cents shy of $100.

Do yourself a BIG favor and buy a Kershaw Cyclone. Those are an AWESOME knife!:thumbup:.:thumbup:.
 
It's an OK knife that you ought to be able to pick up new for $40 and change on Ebay.
 
The Blur is great ....I have 9 of them and no lock up issues on any of mine....they can be had for $40 all over Ebay
 
I had one for a short while but brought it back and exchanged it for a swisstool. I liked the assisted opening and all i just found out what the blade was made of... i dont like the softer steels even though i can get them sharper.
 
I picked up an SG2 Blur about a week ago. I haven't got a chance to do much with it yet, but it's a really nice knife. It's really well built, and it fits pretty good in my hand.

Curious, what kind of blade steel is in the Swiss Tool?
 
It's a nice knife but I absolutely hate assisted openers that you start with a thumbstud. Half the time they don't open all the way cuz your thumb is in the way.:( I sold/traded mine pretty quick. If it was me I'd go for the black JYD2. It isn't assisted but it opens better and just as fast as the SG2 I had.
