What are your users for?

I know we have a lot of choppers here, but what purpose do your other INFI users serve? The CGFBM is my chopper for shelter building exercises and firewood (well, it is with my buddy for camping season now), my BATAC is now with my oldest son who is using it in military drill for multi purpose and will go over with him when he is deployed. My MUK will become a user this archery season I hope. My BJLE (when it comes back home) will be my exercise knife. It will get carried, but I do forms in Apache Knife Fighting forms and since my BATAC was the go to, it will be replaced with the BJLE. I hope to have a fixed edc like a BA III some day, but for now I carry a Leatherman Wave and a ZT350WW for everything else.

What do you have and how is it used?

My ASHLE. I always have it with me. Always in it's mashed cat kydex. Always razor sharp. If I am home its somewhere close. If I go on trips it gets tossed in my bag. I don't use it as much as I would like but that's only because I don't use it just for the sake of using it. I keep it for when I need it. A folder does 99% of the cutting I need to do. What have I used it for? Cooking, fishing, hiking, just about everything I would use a knife for at first. I just keep it taken care of and ready/with me now though.

I wish I had more reasons to use it but I haven't lately. On a good note, its not going to rot away during this down time and its not getting replaced as my go to FB.

My only Busse that I have is a SCABS, and it is a user, it's my midsize hiking blade, use it for light splitting paired with a Silky Saw, general bushcraft type chores.

Other than my B11 my most used Busse is my CABS followed closely by my Cultie. I usually have my Cabs in my hip on hikes and any camping situation for most of the purposes Kevin described.

When the B4 comes out it might get some good use as well. ;):D

This is a really good idea for a thread. I use a Battle Mistress for chopping when camping or harvesting some Hickory for the smoker. I use it to clean off branches before the chainsaw is used to cut the wood into sections. I use my ASH and SFNO for battoning/splitting hickory for the smoker. I use the Active Duties (2) for EDC ( I also have a Culti for EDC). My Tank Buster/BAD combo is used for hunting/game processing and I am looking forward to adding the MUK for skinning this year. The AK is used for de-animating boxes, watermelons, pumpkins and general fun. :)

The only Busse I have is the CGFBM... I use it for hitting stuff... Seriously. I use my Swamp rats in the more serious roles, Ratweiler is my camp knife, the new Rodent solution is great for just having in my bag for when i wanna go straight to the woods from work. But the big girl is straight up for fun :)

I EDC a Skeleton Key in the city:thumbup:
I prefer a small fixed blade over a folder and the SK vanishes in my pocket.

Wow, let me count the ways!

My SH-E rides always on my field pack. So that is my go-to blade for archeology-related stuff. I have a Cultie in my kitchen that I use daily. When riding, I have a Skeleton Key and a great neck sheath from Dwayne for a carry blade. I use my Battle Mistresses (SH and Ergo) along with my NO-E for yard duty. I rotate through other, smaller blades depending on what I'm doing at the time and where, but one of my very faves as an all-purpose user are my SHBA and SHMS.

Heck, yes, I use them! :D

I keep the BJLE on my side always and use it from anything to food prep to bushcraft, prior to the BJLE it was the cabs. I carry a mistress in my backpack for larger chores.

I carry a INFI s5Le more often than not when working. Basically, I use it as a sharpened prybar.

Yesterday it was used with a screwdriver to pry cabinets off the wall for a demo job. first slide the knife behind the cabinets. 2nd slide the screwdriver between the knife and the cabinets. 3rd pry with screwdriver, and the s5LE distributes the force to keep from poking through the drywall.

Also used to drill out wood so I could get to set screws that were burried.
In addition to cutting tasks (bands, cardboard, ect)

My DSSF rides in my squad car. Its role as a sharpened prybar/brush clearer works great. I've thought of replacing it with a B11 or (when it comes out) Rodent Ruck or Rattlehawk

I've only very recently contracted the INFI disease (I got my first Busse, a SAR 6, this past Feb and I now own 5 different breeds) so I'm still working out the roles and responsibilities for all my precious.

Up to this point, my SAR 6 was going to be my camping/utility knife. It's got the Mashed Cat sheath with a nice fire steel attached… However, I just recently was gifted an awesome SJTAC from my son for Father's Day so that will probably be my new 'go-to' knife (Mashed Cat sheath en route).

My intention is to use my Ratmandu for hunting/fishing expeditions since it seems to be the nimblest of my blades.

My BWM has been used for backyard wood chopping/kindling creating, and accompanies me on trailblazing hikes to set up game-cams and treestands.

And finally, my NMSFNO LE#33… What can I say about this beautiful creation… I know that a knife that fantastic is just BEGGING to be used, and some day I will, but right now I pretty much use that knife to do my Belloq impression when he cracked open the Ark of the Covenant.

My B 11 and CGFBM for chopping, my SHSHII is my kindling maker, SFNO and SAR 6, my all around woods knives and hiking companions,Leaner meaner w/game warden handles my EDC boss street, Culti, and Skeliton warden smaller duties.

My SAR3 and CG Boss Street are work knives. They strip wire, dig holes, cut open pipes, pry open manhole covers, etc. The SAR3 rides in the work truck, the CGBS gets carried in my work bag.

My CABS has been my go to bushcraft knife for a bit, but may be getting replaced now by one of the two customs I have coming.

My CF BWM is my go to woods chopper, paired with whatever bushcraft knife I'm using. I'm gradually turning it satin... even with the comp finish rather than the old comp grade it rusts REALLY in wet conditions. May get replaced by a B11 at some point, if not by my 12" fiddleback machete.

My CGFBM and DSF i used for making kindling last winter, my scrapper 5 has been used for everything from food prep to cutting up boxes or anything else I need a knife for, sar3 is in my EDC rotation, my SOD/swamp warden combo is my backpacking rig, for when I get out in the mountains again, muk has been used for kitchen work thus far.

I've got four or so that go to work on a random basis: Sar 3, Lcabs, Fatty warden, Bad, plus a Rodent solution. When I'm out hiking BWM, Batac and now a favorite Bussmuk.

I've been known to make a PB&J sandwich with mine and not sure if I can safely say I use "crunchy".

I use the Chuckette' for deforesting Giant Redwood Trees and cutting Armored Personnel Tanks in two...
I use my Jungle Assault, SAR 8 and trailing point Leaner for every thing else.
I have both Nicks and a full set of 1980's Filet Knifes for the kitchen.

And thanks to two of the best Brother Hogs ever, I have a new Satin Gladius for Zombie Killing. You Guys ROCK!!!
