A guy up here in Norway areaselling this, but the handle looks really strange to me.
Is this aftermarket grinding, or has the shop made this handle?
What type of coating is this?

Looks legit to me too...

Some users complain of "pinky bite" from the rear pommel...looks like the owner addressed it with an amputation-- of the rear pommel/talon-- not his pinky :p ...

I'm all for making a Busse "one's own" ... and the results look imminently useful ... haven't done it myself, but I like his thinking.

Just noted your screenname "Bobber" ... are you sure you're not the "Mad Bobber" you bobbed the ASH? Shenanigans, perchance? ;)

As for the finish...hard to say from the pics.

Looks like a fake, I'll have to dispose of that for you to make the world a safer place. :D

Hei Bobber ;)
Fat Ash-1 with the thicker black micarta scales. Pommel ground off, spine polished. Raised shoulder, custom edge.
At first glance looked like decarb to me but then I saw the logo is still original, so maybe tanker gray?
This is my guess.
Lenge siden sist.
