What axe should I get to meet the possibilities?

I live in Kansas and have my own hunting land. I have a variety of tree's (big and small), and brush to clear and harvest each year. My current inventory of tools consist of a chain saw, machete, small hatchet, Gransfurs Small forest axe, and a splitting maul. I would like another axe to add for all around use and better for bigger tree's. I wont be chopping monster stuff. What axe should I purchase? Should I get a boys axe, or is that to similar to the GB SFA? Should I go bigger, if so what? Also, would a double bit axe be nice to have?

Don't know, what do you all think? Suggestions please...

A boy's axe is most handy for limbing and general light work. It will work circles around a Small Forest Axe. But it sounds like you might need a full sized axe as well.

Your best bet is shop for used ones. Yard sales, estate sales and that auction website are your best bets. Of course you'll likely need to do some work to your finds before they're ready to work. Another option is to buy new axes from someone like Council Tools. Their base priced stuff won't be as good as vintage stuff but it will be usable and acceptable. If money isn't an issue then their Velvi-cut line is quite good.

^^^ That.

I'd say go for a Boy's Axe OP.

You've got the larger work covered with the chainsaw and the smaller work with the GB & Machete.
You're going to hear it a zillion times...Council Boy's Axe. Cheap, functional and it'll be a perfect
supplemental tool to your growing tree maintenance tool collection. $40./shipped.
