It's on the main Benchmade page at knifeworks.com but there's no name listed. I've never seen one like this.

Me too I have a BM 940 which is very similar to the gaucho and I love it. Based on my research you can find gauchos for around 90-110 on secondary market not too bad!!!

Looks like there's a satin version out there as well. That's it. I must have one. Just when I thought I had all the knives I needed for a while. Dammit.

With a 3.2" blade, it's a smaller knife than I would have thought. I generally don't like tanto-ish blades but I'm in love with that blade shape. It would be awesome in a 4" M390 version. :D

ETA: I just saw the blade listed at 3.4" on another site. That looks more like it.

The Gaucho is a fantastic little knife.

I bought one of the LE CPM-M4 versions as a gift for a friend and fellow enthusiast. Once I got it and had a chance to handle it I was very impressed to say the least.

If funds and availability had allowed I would have gotten a second one for myself. Really great little knife. Super smooth, great ergo's. I generally prefer a larger blade but it felt really good in hand and very capable. Not to mention great looking!

ETA. 3.4" is closer to what I remember but I'd have to look it up. I beleive it's the same size as the 940.

This is another knife, when offered by the dealer, that didn't sell. Roger at KnifeWorks had a ton of them. Great Osborne design, esp. the M4 version. Secret? The frame will swap in a 940/943 blade for a very different look.

I wish u great luck in finding one. A little hard to find still - I'm still looking for a coated PE one for a while. I've been on the BM forum and recently got the satin PE.
Like u, I love the blade shape/design. Looks very aggressive.
Good luck!!

Thanks. If I see a coated one I'll let you know. If you run across another satin PE, give me a heads up?

Of course! Looking for discontinued knives can be a pain.
It took me awhile before I found someone willing to sell it (thank you).
Keep looking, but if I come across one, I'll PM you.
Thanks!

I just found one yesterday BNIB at a gun show in PA for $100. They are out there, you just have to find them.

That overall design went to the Harley Davidson brand at some point. Very nice piece, I have the PE M4 version. The HD variety is pretty cool, minus the grafitti.
