So yesterday at my local knife store I found this Benchmade that resembled at 707 sequel, except the colors are different and marked on the blade it says "Limited Edition 42/100". The steel was also D2. I need some help identifying it, so here are some pictures:

(sorry for the poor quality, all I had on me was a 6 year old ipod...)

There have been a few limited edition 707's over the years as I recall. I know there's a blue one with black blade in M390 that was done as a dealer exclusive (was also a limited edition numbered run). That's probably much the case here. It was likely a version of the 707 produced for a specific retailer. Finding out exactly which one however can prove difficult.

I was searching around on google and I think I found it. Can someone confirm this: it's the Benchmade 705-02.
The lady at the shop is selling it for 26,000 yen (260 dollars).... is that a reasonable price? I'm just not sure because some knives she puts a fair price on them but others (for example the Kershaw Leek, which she is selling for 180 dollars) she doesn't. I would like to buy it but I don't want to waste my money if I can buy it for less somewhere else...

That is a limited 705-02. Their asking price is steep, but if it's NewInBox and unused, (and you really like it...) go for it. Otherwise I'd hold off until you find another for less.

That price is high for a 705...I would just get the current 707 and save the money, blade shape is also much better IMO.

You can usually find the model number on the blade underneath the Benchmade logo.
