What Benchmade should I get next?

I bought a 550HG and love it! Now I'm looking at it and thinking what Benchmade should I get next. What do you think? Axis flipper 300SN, Osbourne Emissary 470-1, or Presidio 520? Or something else?
I use my knives, I EDC all of them at one time or another. No safe queens. So what do you think?

This is somewhat of a vague question. Do you want to go larger or smaller than the 550? Do you want a fancy steel such as M390 or are you content with 154CM? Do you have any cost limitations? There are so many fine Benchmades that answering any of these questions would help to narrow things down a bit. That being said, I recommend either the 940 or 943 if I were in your shoes. It's a classic Benchmade design, it is different from the 550HG in a way that it will fill a niche without overlap, and it carries extremely well in the pocket if your looking for another EDC.

Good questions. I guess I was looking to hear what other models people consider to be must haves. Like I said, whatever I buy would be a user so gold level isn't really something I'm looking for. But the 940 is one that I looked at.

Most people really enjoy the 940 series. I have owned one in d2 and one in so30v. Really great for edc and I think their lightweight.

Well then, as far as must-haves go, the 940 and the 943 are considered by most Benchmade aficionados as must-haves! I have the 940 with a black blade and it is an amazing knife, one that I would definitely replace if I were to ever lose it.

If you like a large knife the 710 is amazing. I have one in m390 and its the one I grab when I just can't decide, because it does everything well.

Must have Benchmades, IMHO

Currrent and easy to acquire:
710
94x
950 Rift

DC'd and somewhat difficult to find:
520 Presidio
615 Mini-Rukus
635 Mini-Skirmish
732 Ares

Get The King, the Adamas 275. You can't not have a 275.......wait wrong sub forum........
Seriously though. The 275 is my favorite Benchmade I have handled/owned. I like larger knives though.
I also like the 300 flipper that you mentioned. It is my favorite knife by far just to set in my recliner and flick, making it my wifes least favorite knife.

Definitely need to get the 300sn Ball axis flipper but then again I may be a little bit partial to this design for some reason. :D Try it ,you will like it.

For a hard use, user:

950 Rift, 3.67" 154CM blade

810 Contego, 3.98" CPM-M4 Blade

710, 3.90" D2 or CPM-M4 blade.

These knives beg to be used, used hard and won't let youu down.

I'd add the Adamas but he bulk or width of the handles is a factor for some but if you don't mind it you really can't go wrong with it either.

Best of luck!

Couldn't agree more with this post. The Adamas is THE machine! Flick away to your heart's content, rip stuff apart like using an axe, beat on and still looks good. For a more gentlemanly knife, I'd suggest a Presidio Mini Ultra. Auto if you please!
