What blades do you want to see in action?

I am going to be shooting a video for ROS Arms. Mostly wilderness oriented, some carving, etc. I WILL NOT destroy a knife on purpose, but I will push them hard.

What blades have you been thinking about buying that "in use" footage would convince you to buy, and what do you want to see them do to sell you the knife?

I will do rope cuts, chopping, drop wrist sized saplings with a small knife, etc.

But what I want to know is.....what do YOU want to see, to make our time and expense worthwhile? :D

Personally I'd be interested to see Taiga and russian bayo.

I'd like to see stuff like chopping sapplings, making some fuzzy sticks, chopping through some large branch or log, some battoning.

Maybe displaying some sawback work with Baby or Federal.

Since there is quite a following re the Chopping aspects of certain knives like Kuks I think the PAW II with emphasis on the Chopping and how the Saw on the spine perform - this would be one that alot of folks would like to see in action.

I myself do very little heavy chopping with knives so something along the lines of the STING including how the small rear serrations perform, or the FISCHER - how it does in light Camp chores or even in the Kitchen.

What kind of time frame are we looking at on this project? 4 Weeks, 4 Months, ? Also, would this be a Youtube series or are you thinking of using it on the RosArms Site?

Thanks

We are looking at starting soon maybe a series on youtube or however kancler wants to run it, I am just the PR Director.

I am going to be starting fires and doing light bush work with the Fischer, maybe even fell some small saplings.

We want to know what will convince people how good these knives are...some of the best in the world, period, especially for the money....

We will be chopping with Baby and other major camp chores. We are going to construct an entire cold weather camp. This is Cultural Woodsman from Ramanon that sold Tedwca his Cliff knife.........

LOL, I knew who you are. I'd definitely enjoy seeing something like this. Do you know if the thicker spined Ermak is the one on the ROSarms site. I'd like to get the thicker one, so I'm concerned about ordering from the site if it's the older stock.

Still really like my Cliff and Taiga.

order through me....as far as I know we have only new stock Ermak. Shoot me a PM

there is never "old stock" we sell out almost every shipment. I asked for a thicker spine on the knife and ROS Arms delivered. You are my customer so you can still deal with me direct.

Indeed, I'd be interested to see the Ermak in action. Read it is a traditionnal siberian design so I'd be intersted to know how You use it, what are the typical chores locals perform with it.

Ermak, Taiga, Russian bayonet and Baby are all in for sure, as well as the Fischer and the Companion series. Paw2 we will have to wait for next shipment as we are out of stock....but likely it will be here before I am done with the DVD.

question - Do you want to see Baby with serration or without?

about Fischer... - I did a test a few days ago- cutting the wet carpet :)

I was able to cut 250 sq.f. room and knife still can cut cardboard boxes without any resharpening... At the same time my friend tried another brand - B..k knife

That knife died after 30 feet of cutting action, BUT it was razor sharp. - not sure what is a reason - wrong edge, wrong steel or both... :)

Kancler I think you should shoot the intro maybe 5 minutes or whatever you want....tell people how you found these knives and why we continue to push the limits in design and steel...show some indoor testing if you want....you are the boss

Then I will send you the outdoor test footage and we can put it all together.

For our customers:
We will try to index the video so you can go right to the blades that interest you, but I think you will see that even the "thin spine" models will amaze you when you see them in real use

be cool to see the throwing knife in action
