I was pondering buyiing the BM mini-Barrage as my next purchase..I am really loving my BM knives, if not the Barrage what other BM knife should i buy in the same price range as the BM mini-barrage.

Well lets see, I've been kinda contemplating one of the new Bone Collectors.

I have to disagree. The couple 670 I have seen have been terrible. Fit and finish just not there and the lock up not that great. Plus the design just doesn't say Benchmade. There are many Benchmade knives to put before the 670. Like all of them.

Well, I one that I own..IMO...Is a great knife, although, it's not really an EDC knife. I must have a gem outof a box of lemons, because mine screams BENCHMADE Custom..

FlaMtnBkr....just wondering, have you ever owned one ?

Well you could try goin for a 710 or maybe the H20 Griptilian. Or maybe! a ummmm a Rift, or Nimravus.

I had a full size Barrage that felt kind of light and cheap for a Benchmade knife (or what I expected). I sent it back for a refund.

I've heard that the Mini-Barrage doesn't have that big "hollow handled" feel to it and feels much beefier in hand, but I haven't gotten around to getting one yet.

The Rift is an excellent choice, or maybe even a MPR. Supposedly those are starting to hit the dealer shelves.

Go for a griptilian in whatever flavor you like. When I think of BM i think of a griptilian. Awesome knives and for even less than what your barrage costs

Check out the H&K 14205. It is a tank of a knife (weighs 5 ounces, steel liners, etc.) but the Snody-designed blade adds elegance to it. Also, the space that the axis lock slides along is bigger, which makes it easier for me to quickly slam it open and shut compared to other Benchmade axis locks(bigger target for my thumb, I guess).

+1
This is one ugly knife.

+1 on the hk14205. A great knife, a tad too big for me unfortunately. But a very good knife all around, looks great, feels great, and performs great. A bit more expensive than the mini-barrage but worth it

I just ordered the bone collector..paid 102 bucks that includes shipping.thanks for all the advice...anyone use the bone collector..?

Outside of our stated price range but I'm leaning towards the new 790 Subrosa for my next BM.

Yeah I owned one for a couple months and traded it away the first chance I got. Plus I looked at a few others and they all gave me the same impression. Not good. It isn't a very popular knife around here and there is usually a reason for that.

It is my opinion like anything else on these boards. Did you think I would lie about what my opinion is? I don't need to own a knife to develop a feel for it, but I did own this one. I love Benchmade, so I'm not trying to just knock them down because I have something against them.

I am not a big fan of tantos, but when I saw the Lum 760, I just had to get one. Did a trade with a local brick and mortar, and waiting to get mine. Aside from that, go for the Ritter Grip, or 710. Great folders.

No....I just wanted to know what you didn't like about it..Do you like any other OSBORNE Design BM's or is the 670 the only BM you consider junk ?
