I traded towards a Busse Boss Jack with a 6" or so blade. It is .22" thick, choiless and has a fuller. The color of the blade is sage and the scales are a tan with black stripes. BUSSE is printed at the point where the handle meets the blade.

Now with a pic...

Doh yes proto indeed, missed the fuller part. That said it should also say proto above the handle, opposite side of busse logo.

The one that have coming does not have the proto engraving on it. That was why I couldn't find info on it. I will post pics once I recieve it this week.

Not all of the Proto grind w/ fuller Boss Jack's have the Proto laser writing on them, only the Double Cut 'Proto' offering had this I believe.

Sonofah, you got me. My infi-fu is not as strong as I thought

As far as I can tell, they used the proto blanks. I have 2 from BLADE, and while officially they didn't call them protos & these weren't referred to as protos, they have the same thickness, same fuller, same grind, just coated and with G-10 only but same handle pattern as opposed to the protos having micarta are the only differences...gotta be same blanks...right? :)

Well, I guess it's technically not an official 'Prototype' if it's not marked so, but as Jaxx stated the blanks are identical that both of these variants are made from. I believe the shop ran a bunch of extra blanks from the 'Prototype' offering, destined to be made into coated blades that were sold at some of the following shows.

The Combat Grade Boss Jack's from the website offering are a much flatter radius full convex grind. The 'Proto' w/ fuller blanks have a convex saber grind, where the grind does not begin at the spine, but rather closer to 2/3 height at the fuller. So the steel is full thickness at the fuller and only past the fuller does it start to taper to the apex of the edge.

Beautiful!..love that Coyote Brown and Black G-10.

The choiless BJ is a lot of cutting edge in a compact package.

What are you doing for a sheath? Here is a FDE from Mashed Cat:

I think they were called protos in the ganzaa. I got a cg with a fuller and 2 satin full convex without, and they are beefier than the regular production model.
