What Bowie Model is this.....

Could someone please tell me what the pattern number for this Bowie knife is? The tang stamp is BUCK/Custom/USA with no model number given.
OAL is 12.5" with a 8" blade circa 1999. Thanks /Roger

In the 50s Frank Buck was known for his extravagant Bowies, here is a picture of one of his bowies. He liked huge blades and hand guards.

Frank....that was Al's brother, right? Wow, kinda reminds me of the knives my brother would make out of an old car leaf spring. Shoulder rig for sure.... that thing would pull your pants down....

I think I saw a similar bowie done by Josh Buck on eBay recently in a display case. I guess it was a reproduction of one like yours. Thanks for showing it Matt. :thumbup:

No, Frank was Chuck's brother. In the late 50s, Al told Frank and Chuck that because there were so many mail orders still left to fill, that if they wanted to continue to fill the orders, they ( Frank and Chuck) could have the money. Well Chuck went out and put a down payment on a house and Frank bought a Corvette. Well, We know how that story ended.
