I've recently found a knife, and decided to keep it and fix it up, sadly the steel is pitted but it'll still do basic knife functions, but I want to know what knife it is and who made it, since it has no identifiable traits, I decided to post here.

I'll post a picture, I'm just new so it'll be in the thread

It resembles an Imperial H-6 bowie. But there are noticeable differences- the texture of the handles, and the size of the handle pin heads. Also, Imperial knives are marked as such. It could be an imitation H-6.

Utica Sportsman's Knife. Most are stamped, but some are not. It was sold singly or with a hatchet, circa 1950's - 1970's give or take a bit. Lots of companies made these little Bowie styled hunters, but Utica is the only one I recall with the worm groove black plastic handles, the others used a standard jigged pattern.

Edit - Here's a thread with some of the Utica versions -

I've looked into it for a bit, there are some variations in 1959. But it's the base 1959 Utica sportsman, for sure older then I thought, most of the insignias were known to be stamped, some were actually embroidered into the metal, I believe I found a stamped knife, since after sanding the knife it was no longer there, could also be an imitation but based on how much rust and age is on the knife, it was the one that came with the hatchet, which is cool because I literally thought it was just some common knife.
