Or over the last week say? and how did you do it? and how sharp did you make it?
I've done my original issue Hell Razor. I though it was sharp before - now I have a sore left index finger from taking a sliver of skin off just deep enough to sting.
It's convexed on the edge; not too thin but really screaming sharp from tip to choil. Push cuts paper, skin and hairs
Did it originally on a power file ages ago and it's seen a little use on firewood. Yesterday I buffed it back up to shaving on a hard felt wheel (that makes me nervous - ever seen a blade catch and go flying?) Then I stropped it for about 10 minutes on leather with red compound.
It's truly a Hell Razor now!
I've also done my full-height ground Active Duty - again a touch up really. Edge on this is flat but thinned. Stropped for about ten minutes on card loaded with 15 micron diamond paste, then hard-backed leather.
Equally sharp to the HR.
Finally, I did a little touch up on a cultie and my HHFSH, just some stopping. The cultie really needs a bit of a reprofile to get it screaming but the HHFSH is jut a touch less sharp than the HR. It's also got a thinned edge, flat, done on a lansky set.
So, what've you sharpened today?
