What came first the Buck 107 with the finger guard or the 107 without?

I have 2 107's and neither have finger guards, but I saw one on Ebay with micarta scales and what appeared to be a finger guard, I've had both these knives for aboutr 15 years.

Finger Guard Came First Though It Was Not Much Of A Guard Since It Was Fitted Flush With The Handle.

Wow I listed mine on Ebay and it right up in price, still I see more of the other style with the fingerguard/bolster.

I'm just glad I had 2 so I don't feel so bad about getting rid of 1.
