OK maybe this is crazy, but you guys are the masters of recycling and ingenuity! Before I just trash this old, crappy lawnmower, what can I scrounge off of it for use in the shop? Of course I'll take the blades, and further fuel the debate over whether or not they can be made into knives. Any good ideas on what can be of some use to me? Making knives sure has changed how I look at trash, my wife knows to never throw anything out without asking......."can you use this in the shop?"

Thanks,

Ryan

flip the body over, build a forge.
Use the handles and wheels to make stuff portable in the shop.

Look up Backyardcasting.com and use the aluminum to make Ruana style handles.

Spring steel in the pull starter to make Damscus. The wire cable thingie to the throttle can go in the damascus mix.

Head bolts to make hot stamps.

etc,etc.,etc.,*
