what can I sell?

I am thinking of becoming a KnifeMaker, Craftsman, Service Provider. can I sell items I have purchased at public auctions such as motors, VFDs, power cables, and furnace temperature controllers?

I believe those would be sold in the 'Knifemakers For Sale Area' under 'For Sale: Knifemaking Supplies and Tools', but you should be able to sell whatever you want as long as it's under the right subforum.

Hi Scott. That level of subscription would best be suited to sell the things you have made yourself. So, the answer to your question would be no. You are buying items and reselling them, similar to what a dealer would do. That would be the membership for resale/sales of tools and equipment.

My idea is to make plug and play setups, not just a VFD, but a tested Vfd/Motor combination with all necessary wiring and remote controls, assembled by me, so all the buyer has to do is plug it in. I also see folks selling sanding belts, tooling arms, and handle material as service providers.

In that case, if you want to make preconfigured equipment from separate parts (like building/refurbing a automotive engine), that might be different. Some other mods should chime in for alternative perspectives.
