I picked up a benchmade 940 with the green anodized aluminum scales..
they look a little dull around the edges,,,anyone have any suggestions on what to touch them up with....I was thinking mineral oil, but wasn't sure.
In my work, we use kerosene for machining lubricant on aluminum. It always leaves the metal looking bright....this is my first aluminum handle knife and I don't want to screw it up...

Well oil won't hurt it so worth a try. Kerosene probably won't either but I doubt anything lasts very long. Maybe some type of wax would last the best?

kerosene work probably word well. then you should seal it.

boil some distilled water and stick the scales in for 15-20 minutes, this will seal them.

I use Windex on my Ano Ti and have for quite a while. It cleans it will, removes the fingerprint residue and leaves the original color. I think it is the Ammonia in it that works.
