What can you do with a Lazer cutter

I have access to a Lazer cutter at work. It is mostly used for cutting acrilic. I am told it also works well for leather and wood up to about 6mm but not metal. It has extraction.
My question is what use can I put it to in knife making? Presumably I can make some leather sheaths with all the holes cut. So far it's great for making knife blank templates from acrilic. Ideally I would like to cut handle materials like G10, CF but especially micarta. Apparently they don't work so well and give of toxic gas.
I am planning on getting some knife blanks cut and heat treated to my autocad designs. So I'm thinking cutting handles and sheaths with the Lazer cutter would work well as the sizes of everything should be consistent.
Any thoughts about using a Lazer cutter would be much appreciated as it seems like too good a free resource to waste.

Let me first prove how much of a nerd I am... LASER!
It's an acronym for Light Amplification through Stimulated Emission of Radiation.

Second, on to your question.

I think you could use that cutter for all kinds of things! Engraving makers marks, cutting out patterns for not just blades, but all kinds of parts, especially folder parts.

You could use it for other resin products to like krynite(sp?) or whatever...

The most of a mark you can make with it is by using a laser marking paint. The laser sort of burns the paint into something fairly hard and bonds it to the metal. The unmarked paint will wipe off with solvent. The best use of a CO2 laser on knives is writing things on handles and if it has good resolution, you can even do scrimshaw with it.
