What do you guys know about the structure and workings of the major knife manufacturers? In that how do you apply to work for them? What type of jobs do they offer people? And what type of a background do the look at when hiring someone?
I've read a lot about Benchmade, Spyderco, etc. but have rarely seen info on how these corporations run. Are any knife companies traded publicly? Do they employ a wide variety of people (lawyers, designers, factory workers) or do they have a core group of employess and then outsource most of their other needs.
As always any info is much appreciated.
