Talking about the stripped rodent 6 on the top in the picture ?
Was it a special run ?

Has a wonderful feel and balance. Chokes up well. Reminds me a Busse BT6.
Can't wait to put on an edge and we what it will do.

Looks like some love was put on that Rat. Don't know if it was a variant or a mod, then stripped, but either way, great find. Beat it!!
 
I remember that time! When the knife first came out a few people had the custom shop grind the top guard off, this was a big hit. The clip point was a variation on that theme. No telling how many, but those that got one of them were very fortunate, not many out there.
 
the handle is still coated? cool. I thought the whole thing looked bead blasted. maybe it was "urban grey" which I haven't seen in a few years. well the blade has been stripped? no logo... you're right it has a BT6 profile. Somebody around here knows!!!! if they're not too drunk :).

I remember people talking about that R6 MO back when the BT6 made its way into grab bags.
I think one finally made it on to the exchange about a week ago
 
I actually own both the BT6 and the Swamp Rat in question. I love them both, but the Rat's handle feels a little better in my hands. That being said, either one will serve you well.
 
Had them side by side today.
The Rodent 6 weighs 14.4 oz and the BT6 weighs 16.3 oz.
The BT6 handle is slightly longer and is slightlymore comfortable for my large hand. I do prefer the canvas on the R6 over the G10 on the BT6. Both have a great feel.

Love the Rodent 6. I have one black micarta on sage. Have beaten it to the point the sage is getting kinda smooth. Mine is standard configuration, top guard and all. Still a great knife.

Rodent 6 is a great all around knife imho :-)
I’ve got one black on black , one sage with black tan g10, on CS without top Guard moss green with black.
Been contemplating having the black on black stripped along with a BG ASH :-)
 
DANG! Totally forgot to get a photo. Will try to remember this evening.
