I just seen a wood handle twitch II online. I didn't know Sog made a wood handle knife. I own no Sogs but have often looked at them. This wood handle twitch has sparked my interest. The site I seen it on says its assembled in US. does anyone know where the parts originate from? Taiwan? China? Anyone have any experience with one?

Don't know about the origins but I love my wood Twitch II. I have no blade play at all (some complain about this) and the assist is strong and positive. Lock-up is solid. The Wood is beautiful and the blade comes sharp and holds an edge fairly well.

The size was a bit small for my hands but a little lanyard resolved that. This is the only lock-back with a flipper I've ever seen, and SOG pulled it off well. I think the potential for blade play comes from the relationship between the pass-through lock bar and the tang. If those surfaces are not flat there is potential for some wiggle, but like I said, mine has no play.

The blade shape is simple and the knife as a whole is very elegant and business-appropriate.

Quite honestly my favorite feature is the shallow area over the lock bar where your thumb goes when using this knife. It's just a little shallow spot, but it really show's how much thought and attention to detail went into this design. It's the little things...

My rosewood handled twitch II is tight (in a good way) and I really like it. Agreed, never take it apart.
