Does anyone know what coating or how crusader forge coats their blades? I just recently bought one, It's so different from anything iv ever seen or felt.. Its got me incredibly curious and determined to figure it out.

Those are pretty cool. I'm gonna have to check these out. Agreed.. that looks like a cerakote.

But I'm wondering what the Warning header/footer on AZCK is all about.
These guys shady or what?

Most likely something to do with these 2 threads:

From a bit of looking it seems this is a pretty common issue with that guy.

I understand, but you have no backing to the statement.
Not understanding your meaning by "backing." If you mean I have no grounds to ask an innocent question.. I obviously do.

One of the premiere custom knife resellers in the world has it on the page I screenshotted twice, and another member put up 2 examples of why that may be from the biggest knife forum in the world (here).

Truly, I'm not trying to start an argument.. I respect you and what you do. I just think being reprimanded over a simple question is unreasonable.

The question absolutely falls in the realm of shop talk.. it's a shop.. and I asked a question about shop practices. I neither complained about them, bad mouthed them, or hyped them. That's for gbu. I asked a question about a shop I'd never heard of on a thread about them. If I've taken your meaning for "backing" incorrectly feel free to elaborate on why you think that is.

Several things:
1) You don't know the details or why someone was putting those messages up.
2) Shop Talk is not for feedback. The Exchange - Good Bad and Ugly is for that.
3)Asking, a simple question is, "Who knows anything about XYZ?" or "Is XYZ a reputable maker?" Posting a complaint link is not a simple question.
4) We are not supposed to be posting links to seller's websites.

Let's just drop it and continue discussion about the coating.

Several reasons your response is straw manning what I wrote, and I don't appreciate it in the slightest.. especially since I've been respectful despite this:

1. It's well within reason to believe that arguably the biggest custom reseller on earth other than maybe fort henry put that up because they got burned. Hence the question.

2. It wasn't feedback at all. I said, "I'm wondering what the Warning header/footer on AZCK is all about." It was posed as curiosity about the maker of the knife shown's "shop" practices. Why would I complain about something I was prospectively going to purchase?

3. "Is XYZ a reputable maker?" (You) "These guys shady or what?" (Me)
Same question, different words.. had a question mark and everything.

4. It wasn't a link at all.. It was a picture. A screenshot specifically. If you click it you will not leave BF. Nothing for sale.. nothing to indicate a price for said knives.

You are still someone I hold reverence for because of your abilities and willingness to help people, but I refuse to be rebuked for something people all over this site.. as well as in shop talk do constantly. That being mentioning that there exists a place where you can buy specific knives/knife related things. I.E. handle materials, steels, hardware, etc.. Nor am I willing to accept your twisting of my words. It's fatuous and targeted.

I get you don't know me, but what's fair for one here is fair for another. I agree though. I hold no grudges.. I don't have the time to waste on it. So yes, let's continue the discussion about this knife cerakote.

I'm just trying to moderate and keep the rules in play.

Let's put it in simple terms - DROP IT!

If you have a problem with that, take it up with Spark, but not here. Thread Closed.
