When ever I'm outdoors, I carry my Rifleman's hawk and my Rajah II. I find the combination covers situation.

Depends. I've taken my trailhawk, kukri machete, Rajah II, and a bowie bushman. I fond the Rajah II useful for car camping when I have an assortment of blades with me but I don't feel like keeping a large fixed blade on me all the time. Great for grabbing some kindling or making a marshmallow stick for the kids.

The trailhawk is great, light and made short work of the small wood I had for the fire (hot night + high wildfire risk = small fire) but I haven't taken it hiking yet. Hiking is what I got the special forces shovel for. A tool that can do many things-like chopping-but isn't off putting to other folks on the trail. This is more of a just-in-case tool as I would bring something more suited to the task if I actually expected to be processing wood.

The bowie bushman just appealed to me because of the price and value of it. I've one a little and it worked well. Gifted it to a friend but then later replaced it. Looking to get a regular bushman too.

I haven't used my Pocket Bushman yet, still NIB and I've had it for probably 2 years. Really awesome though, feels like it would do well. It'll probably wind up in a kit or something.

Wanting to get a bowie machete, a norse hawk, and a smatchet when those come out.

My only outdoor activities consist of yardwork, but I've used the jungle machete to handle some bushes that was becoming a problem.

Bowie Machete and Norse Hawk are available now. had a bunch with me at the Indy 1500 Gun & Knife Show.

Trail hawk and a SM 3 Master Hunter. Have not tried this combo yet, but I have a Master Hunter en-route to try it.

For outdoor activities I use a Outdoorsman Lite. Not the greatest knife in the world but it gets the job done. Hate the sheath it came with though... :thumbdn:

Yes, I know. I meant "Want to get a bowie machete and a norse hawk, and when the smatchet comes out I want one of those as well."

I almost got a bowie machete this last paycheck, but ordered an Ontario 12" and a 14" Tram instead. Maybe next go-round.

I carry my recon scout if im expecting to do chopping in the woods. i carry the R1 military classic and counter point 4 inch if im expecting to be attacked in the outdoors. i carry an xl voyager and spartan as a defensive option most places otherwise, even if i do have a fixed blade also i just like big knives. they are great utility knives also, great for clearing small brush, mowing missed patches of grass, ect.

I used my CS Spetznaz Shovel, for cutting, and processing some smaller limbs from a brush pile of Oak, for a firepit in my back yard today, I use it for stuff like that all the time, probably my most used CS tool, by far. Killed a chicken snake with it a month or so ago at our chicken coop.

One of the 12" machetes, Cold Steel Trail Master or Pendleton Lite hunter. Though many different CS have been with me on different adventures." "

My tanto lite is the only one I have that would work for bushcraft. (Can't use my ti-Lite, or spike). I used it yesterday to baton some smaller pieces of firewood. It works ok, but I need something larger, say 10-12" long for processing larger wood. I've also been considering a small hawk.

sk-5 trailmaster whenever I am up north on my acreage or my outdoorsman if I am not expecting to do a lot of trailclearing
Once and awhile my carbon v ODA.

have all the krupp cheapies and they are great in the tacklebox or camp kitchen.

I used to think that the Rifleman was a boat anchor. Then I realized that the heft bites deep and splits much better than my Frontier. I like the Rifleman. To be honest I have never used my Rajah hard outside. I simply carry a four inch Voyager many times, they are feather weights and just handy to have around. I take out the Magnum Kukri machete now and then, it really bites the wood also. A very light weight branch slasher.
